Eric Swalwell facing refund requests from campaign donors: report

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Former East Bay Congressman Eric Swalwell is facing refund requests from hundreds of donors following the end of his gubernatorial campaign.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, more than 200 donors are seeking the return of more than $1.5 million after Swalwell ended his campaign for California governor.

The refund requests come as campaign finance filings show Swalwell is using campaign funds to cover legal fees.

Swalwell withdrew from the California governor's race and resigned from Congress earlier this month after multiple women accused him of sexual assault.
